Ravenscroft Building

Asheville, North Carolina
Client: Dr. Stuart Tauber
Renovation 1980, cost $450,000

Built around 1840 in the Greek Revival style, the original portion of the building was constructed as a residence for the Episcopalian bishop, Ravenscroft. Once slated for demolition because of its dilapidated condition, this project, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was completely rehabilitated into professional offices. ADS designed modern interiors to complement the character inherent in the building's detailing and spaces.
